a super great super bowl weekend

this weekend was wonderful. me and little bit met gwen and super cute ellie out for lunch at olive garden. gwen is just a great person and they brought us a little surprise to our lunch. little bit got a cute little change purse, pink with green polka dots and it was monogrammed with her first initial. i received a fabulous mug, pink and green also and some tasty sprees and the cutest little monogrammed cookie was tied to my package -it also had pink and green polka dots, sooo cute!
after our tasty lunch we went shoe shopping. gwen found some great boots and got them for only $2 bucks after her discount. now that is a great bargain. we worked up the appetite for a sweet treat and got some milkshakes after our shopping. saturday was the most beautiful day, the sun was shining and it was oddly warm outside -the perfect day to enjoy with friends.

after gwen dropped us off at are car we headed over to meet another friend. my other friend j. is getting married to my husband's best bud in may and we have been working on getting ideas together for her wedding and reception. after trips to hobbylobby and michaels we ended up going to dinner with her at texas roadhouse. i looove texas roadhouse, it is one of my favorite restaurants. i looove their cinnamon butter and rolls. it was a nice dinner and a nice long day out with friends.

on sunday we headed over to a friends to enjoy more friends and to watch the super bowl. we brought some of our own snacks, so we would have something good that we could eat. this included my chip snacks and my sweethubby's non-meat hot dogs to grill. i also brought some 2 liters, so the kiddos wouldn't run out of drinks, you know men they usually only think about making sure there is enough beer. the food was good, and the game was great. i really thought the cards were gonna win, for a second. can you believe that catch holmes made and that he was able to get his feet down to stay in bounds for the touchdown, but -i guess that's why he gets paid the big bucks. it was a really good game, but i wasn't that impressed with the ads. is it just me or has the quality of these ads gone down, even though the price has gone up?

Your husband likes non-meat hotdogs? Do tell how you were able to pull that one off! I prefer that kind too but I can't convince my husband to make the switch.
