first i want to say thank you to everyone who has entered my first ever give*away and thank you and welcome to all of my new followers!
i'm really excited to expand my blog and to gain new friendships!

i don't know about you guys but this has been a long week. thank goodness i'm going on vacation next week back to KY to visit family.

just to recap my week for you...
i got up super early on saturday morning to go to omaha to get certified to become a zumba instructor. i was all energized and excited.
and. of course. i only get about 2 miles before a cop pulls me over.
it never fails -any time i'm going somewhere i feel is important i get pulled over. it's like the cops have me on low jack and want to ruin my day.
and i'm sure everyone says this -but i really wasn't speeding. really. i swear i wasn't and what makes me really mad is he pulled me over in a speed change zone (you know where it goes from 45 to 35) i didn't even realize it at the time or i probably would have gotten arrested for giving him a piece of my mind
(i'm from the country ya know so i've got it in me!).
i call my sweethubby crying my eyes out because i was so mad and he's all like -it's okay honey, it's just a ticket, it's no big deal, i'll pay it, don't let it ruin your day! and i'm just a blabbering mess like -but honey i wasn't even speeding and i asked him to show me the radar speed and he said he didn't have it "locked" in but that's what i was going and sob, sob, sob, it just makes me really mad!

can you believe that a cop can just say you are speeding and not have to have any proof, i can't stand it, i think the radar should have a print out with the time and the speed you were going. i mean really if i go to court who's the judge going to believe me (who does have a record for speeding tickets) or a cop -it's a no brainer!

but anyways...

i got over it and went on my merry way and did my class and got my certificate! woohoo, i'm a certified zumba instructor. i don't know if i will teach any classes any time soon but there may be some changes coming soon in my life and i thought it would be nice to have an option of something different to do. maybe. i like options.

ps -i'm not a cop hater and i respect the law, if i get pulled over and know i was speeding, i pay my ticket but i really do swear i wasn't speeding and if you ask me this particular cops ticketing practices are questionable.

and now on to the rest of the week:

work, eat, sleep, and shopping...

i added these purchases for my upcoming spring wearing pleasure!

Calvin Klein “Liquid Leather” Woven Folded Shoulder Bag and matching patent pumps!

now i just need to find a cute dress to wear to keeneland next month!

feel free to leave me any suggestions

I’m sorry you got pulled over, but it sounds like you have a very sweet and understanding hubby. I agree that there should be some kind of printout or proof that you were speeding.

Congrats on getting certified for Zumba! You must be so excited!!

Nude is such a great color for spring and I’ve been looking for a cute pair of nude heels. I love the Calvin Klein one’s that you posted!
